A M3.1 Earthquake (11-4-12 9:17AM) occurred along the San Gabriel Fault Zone and the San Antonio Fault Zone near the City of Upland (35 miles east of Los Angeles) with no initial damage reports.

EARTHQUAKE SWARM TODAY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
A swarm of earthquakes impacted the southern California region today (Sunday August 26, 2012) from the Brawley Seismic Zone. I personally experienced a 5.3M earthquake while at Mission Hospital around 12:30 PM. The towers shook momentarily enough to get the attention of doctors and nurses. The largest quake occurred at 1:57 PM and registered at a 5.5M (epicenter about three miles northwest of the town of Brawley) about 140 miles away from Mission Viejo, CA. The map below depicts the unusually large quantity of earthquakes in the southern California region.

Dangerous Rocks or Phosphorus Trichloride?
Phosphorous is the most common element in road flares. A woman who was reportedly burned from rocks collected at San Onofre State Beach also reported that she went to the pool after the beach. The combination of phosphorous and chlorine may have created the problem.
Phosphorus trichloride is a chemical compound of phosphorus and chlorine, having chemical formula PCl3 and is classified as very toxic and corrosive. It is possible that the burning was due to corrosives and not flame.
I have license as an engineering geologist in California. I actually went to Trestles this weekend in search of the “dangerous” rocks. I am convinced that this is an isolated incident. Please follow me and I welcome your comments.

DANGEROUS ROCKS FOUND ON SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BEACH
It was reported this morning that a local woman had been burned by rocks she discovered at a popular surfing beach in southern California. Apparently she was enjoying the sunshine with her two daughters when the urge to collect a couple of florescent rocks caught the trio’s eyes. Turned out to be a huge mistake! The woman suffered burns to her hands and legs due to the chemical contamination that caused the luster of the rocks.
The rocks were found near the nuclear generating power station at San Onofre are in an area considered “safe” for the general public.
Life safety issues need to be taken very seriously. We have been told that San Onofre is sealed with layers and layers of steel reinforced concrete to prevent a nuclear disaster from a plane or missile; in addition there are too-numerous-to-count armed guards that are prepared to battle the terrorists. Where did the guards go? What happened to all the protection of the steel and concrete? Will you let your children play on that state beach?
The report indicated the presence of Phosphorus which is the most common element found in road flares. The investigation is still underway and no conclusions have been reached.

PROPHECY FULFILLED THIS WEEK? FOR EARTHQUAKE PREDICTED FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, APRIL MAY and JUNE, 2012
Source: USGS and Earth Science Consultants, Ltd. |
This week on the morning of April 1, 2012 a Magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred at 39.756°N, 15.786°E (SOUTHERN ITALY) only about 100 miles south of Mt. Vesuvius. Is this the prophecy fulfilled by Psychic Edgar Cayce (predicted on January 21, 1936) (Reading 270-35), “If there are the greater activities in the Vesuvius, or Pelee, then the southern coast of California - and the areas between Salt Lake and the southern portions of Nevada - may expect, within the three months following same, an inundation by the earthquakes… “?

California Coastal National Monument Needs Interested People for New Organization
Re: California Coastal National Monument Orange Coast Gateway
However, our area between Newport Harbor and Camp Pendleton is being held up in Congress and we need your help to push things forward. It’s being held up because certain rocks were set aside (1940’s?) for possible locations for lighthouses. Several other Gateways have already been established with the BLM.
We need to ask Senators Feinstein and Boxer to get HR 944 to pass the Senate in order to move things forward!
Benefits of the Orange Coast Gateway:
· Promote Geotourism and the economic health of our community
· Protection of the scenic views that define our lifestyle
· Protection of the geologic features and the fragile ecosystem of indigenous species
· Community outreach promoting local public awareness and preservation efforts with fun and interesting activities.
I propose we organize into a forum for stakeholders consisting of community leaders, elected municipal officials (and designated staff), philanthropic volunteers and mentors, businesses, scientists, environmentalists, educators, public organizations, and other community-minded groups. The following list of invitees to participate in the organization of the Orange Coast Gateway is presented on the following page. Please let me know if you’re interested and if there are other interested parties/potential partners. Please contact me and express your interest.

Foreshocks Seen Over Large Geographic Area of Southern California
Source: USGS and ESCL |
The USGS has reported small earthquakes over a large geographic area of southern California. According to the prophecy by Psychic Edgar Cayce (January 21, 1936 in Reading 270-35), “If there are the greater activities in the Vesuvius, or Pelee, then the southern coast of California - and the areas between Salt Lake and the southern portions of Nevada - may expect, within the three months following same, an inundation by the earthquakes… “ On Saturday, there was activity near the Mt. Pelee Volcano (ESCL Blog, Mar 3, 2012). The earthquakes over the past week may be interpreted as foreshocks. Particularly disturbing is the accumulation of 10 earthquakes, focused on a single point, along the San Andreas Fault. It is well known is seismology that earthquakes act as a release of stress. What if this release of stress transfers to a point in the greater Los Angeles area and becomes the worst of our fears predicted by Edgar Cayce?

A Magnitude 7.4 earthquake occurred on November 29, 2007 at 14.943°N, 61.244°W (MARTINIQUE) only 11.5 miles north of Mt. Pelee, (activity?) but no eruption and no subsequent “inundation by the earthquakes…” in southern California.
